OPNsense 21.7.3_3-amd64
FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE-p20-HBSD
OpenSSL 1.1.1l 24 Aug 2021
Firmware shows
21.7.3 (installed)
2021-09-22
Health Audit shows

because not every update contains a kernel update?

I'm not sure why people keep thinking this is a problem or mistake when e.g. we do not release a new version of OpenSSL for every release we do. Everything has a version number. If it doesn't change there is no need to update it and/or change the version number.
