23.7 Legacy Series / Re: WireGuard 2.0 connection down
« on: August 31, 2023, 07:08:15 pm »
ok I finally was able to ssh my OPNsense.

However, I was surprised NOT to find the dash character you mentionned above.

Here is my script file and it still doesn't work :

Code: [Select]
/usr/local/opnsense/scripts/Wireguard/wg-service-control.php

     83         foreach ($routes_to_add as $ipproto => $routes) {
     84             foreach (array_unique($routes) as $route) {
     85                 mwexecf('/sbin/route -q -n add -%s %s -interface %s', [$ipproto,  $route, $server->interface]);
     86             }
     87         }
     88     } elseif (!empty((string)$server->gateway)) {
     89         /* Only bind the gateway ip to the tunnel */
     90         $ipprefix = strpos($tunneladdress, ":") === false ? "-4" :  "-6";
     91         mwexecf('/sbin/route -q -n add %s %s -iface %s', [$ipprefix, $server->gateway, $server->interface]);
     92     }

I tried "Secure Shell Server    X Enable Secure Shell "

but got this error message :

The following input errors were detected:
    Certificate Web GUI SSL certificate is not intended for server use.

23.7 Legacy Series / WireGuard 2.0 connection down
« on: August 31, 2023, 04:33:39 pm »
Hi,

I've just upgraded my router to WireGuard 2.0, OPNsense 23.7.3.

For some reason, the WireGuard connection to my VPN server provider (Mullvad) doesn't work anymore.
My endpoint sends data to negotiate the handshake but doesn't receive any data.

What's wrong??

Thanks

From NordVPN:

Keep in mind that NordLynx is NOT available yet for manual connection methods such as router setups.
In other words, there are no configuration files for it.

Thank you.
I doubt we can directly use the standard WireGuard protocol since NordVPN made its own version called NordLynx.
(see the link in my first post).

The .rpm and .deb they provide includes their customized WireGuard version, am I wrong?

Thanks but I'm afraid these instructions won't work on FreedBSD 12.1. and may crash OPNSense.
Berkeley Unix is different from the AT&T System V Unix based systems...

General Discussion / NordLynx (WireGuard NordVPN implementation)

Hi,

I'd like to use NordLynx but OPNSense currently doesn't support it.
https://nordvpn.com/blog/nordlynx-protocol-wireguard/

Any news to come?

Thanks

General Discussion / Wireguard server?
« on: June 13, 2020, 12:46:36 pm »
Hi,

I'm wondering if the OPNsense WireGuard plugin is capable of acting as a VPN server, I mean is the plugin sufficient to build a tunnel between a Windows WG client and OPNSense WG?

I need to access to my Windows 10 home computer remotely via internet from a laptop also on Windows 10.
My home computer is my local lan, behind OPNSense.

Is it possible?

Thanks!

Why do you say that I don't trust programmer's download site? Nonsense!

It's just that the traceroute to the swedish website is much closer to my internet access, hence less possibilities for man in the middle attacks.

I know! I perfectly understood what he meant! This is why I proposed 2 plugin categories, see above.
