Dear Forum,

I keep facing an issue on OPNsense 22.7.6
I'm building tunnels to my other sites (fortigate) everything works perfectly fine but what I've noticed is that while creating my new tunnels, whenever i edit an interface and press apply, or create a gateway and press apply, or create a static route and press apply, opnsense goes down because the default route is gone. I have to login to opn via cli and add the default route manually using route add -inet 0.0.0.0/0 -link -iface <interface_name>
I do not understand whats causing this, i search the forum and i see many people with default route being lost but nothing the same as my case

I only have 1 wan and no lan

If anyone faced this issue and knows a solution to it i would very much appreciate your input

Thanks in advance!

Dear Forum,

I had a perfectly working opnsense firewall setup in a VM which i used for various routing functionalities.
Today i attempted to update to 22.7.5 and once done i cant access my opnsense via webui.

Console works fine, ipsec tunnels work fine. Not sure what broke my access.
Already killed lighttpd and restarted it, reloaded services from option 11 on console.

Can anyone help me with this issue, this is a heavily used firewall and im locked out.
Not sure if update reset the antilockout rules or anything.

Other options i tried as well is pfctl -disable (still could not access) and also tried to rollback to a backup from console from last week. Still nothing...

Also another issue i keep facing is the default route disappears from WAN and i have to add it manually from cli using route add command.

Apologies in advance if this thread has been reopened, didn't find any for this version though.

Regards
GK
