This feature is not working for me. Please see the attached screenshots. I can still access Google using the recommended firewall rule.

Is there a way to export this information or do I just need to manually type everything out?

Can anyone tell me how to create the NAT rule to make this work?

I have confirmed that just adding a virtual IP to the WAN interface as suggested does not fix the issue. I can access the web interface of my modem from any other interfaces, but not from my LAN.

I have a bunch of VLANs on my WiFi interface, and so from my cell phone on the WiFi I can get into the modem webUI.

The annoying thing is that I can still PING the modem from my LAN, it just won't let me into the web console.

Hi, can you have a look at this article?

I believe they did add this feature in a driver update.

Hardware and Performance / 2.5GbE with X520-T2

I am using Intel X520-T2 NIC cards, and want to use the 2.5GbE option. The problem is that it's not showing up in the drop-down list as an option. Does anyone know if this is an option? I know it is supported in Windows and Linux, so I assumed it would also be supported in OPNSense.

For a few weeks now, I've been getting random drop-offs where the router will become unresponsive and requires a reboot in order to restore connection. Recently, I've been experiencing consistent packet loss as well. If I continuously ping any address on the internet, I get about 20 or 30 percent packet loss. I first thought the issue was the PC, but I've now replace the PC and still having the same issue. I did move the Intel PCIe NIC cards over, but I have no reason to suspect them and as I said, the entire system becomes unresponsive multiple times per day now.

I'm looking for ways that I can troubleshoot. I don't really know how to read any of the logs, so I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Any direction on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, I tried that just now, but it didn't seem to change anything. I can ping the modem, but can't get to the web console from the LAN. The VLANs on my WiFi interface can reach it no problem.

I have my OPNSense PC connected to a Motorola modem. The modem uses 192.168.100.1 for the web interface. From my LAN I cannot reach it in a web browser despite the fact that I have an any/any rule set up for the LAN. The weird thing is that I can reach it from other VLANs on another physical NIC without issue. To make things even stranger, I can ping it from the LAN, I just can't open it in the browser. Is there any logical explanation for this?

I'm not sure how to delete this, but it's resolved.

Hi, I am not very experienced with OPNSense, but I had a configuration that was relatively stable which I backed up to a file. I then moved the two dual-NIC PCIe cards to the new PC, and installed OPNSense. I accessed the web console and loaded my config file. After a reboot, I tested the interfaces by plugging and unplugging each one, and they do appear to be numbered the same as before (igb0 is LAN). The problem is that I cannot ping the LAN gateway from a laptop plugged into it. I cannot reach the web console either. I can't ping the laptop from the shell. It's acting like my laptop isn't connected, but if I unplug my laptop I see the link state of igb0 change, and I checked the IP of igb0 and it's the same as it was on the old system. Any idea what can cause this?

This is no longer an issue. I realized I had a VLAN configured in the advanced settings of my laptop's NIC. Once I set the VLAN to the default setting of 0, it is now able to obtain an IP using DHCP, and access the OPNsense web interface.

Hi,
I am very new to OPNsense, but hoping someone can help me. I have a fresh install with a PCIe 2-port card. My LAN is on igb0 and it shows an IP address of 192.168.1.1/24. If I program the Ethernet on my laptop to 192.168.1.2 with 24 bit subnet mask and no gateway, and plug directly into igb0 (link state changes to up in console on my monitor), neither OPNsense or my laptop can ping each other. I also can not access the web interface as the page simply doesn't load. I've tried restoring the defaults and no change. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
