bump +++

I came from untangle and loved their executive daily summaries.

I am testing sensei add on right now and it does email you some info, hoping that it will continue to develop.

Sorry if this is older topic and or already covered.

Does the issue with assigning a VIRTIO driver for a Opnsense in a Proxmox VM and using IDS/IPS still an issue?  Only way to get IPS to work is using E1000 driver?

Any work arounds or further update?

Thank you.

I installed opnsense on a Proxmox vm and I think I got everything set up with way I am looking to do.

I have a DVR system as well as home automation system that I have setup up port forwards for.  They both can be accessed outside of my network perfectly fine however when I am inside my network I am unable to view them via my mobile phone.  I can't figure out whats wrong and have gone through my setup several times.

Here are some screen shots if it helps.

All is good!

General Discussion / WAN Failover

Hello,

I am trying to setup a WAN failover.

I tried to test the connection and unplugged my WAN ethernet cable and it still showed the interface up even after several minutes of it being plugged in.  It also did tried going to shell and ping the WAN IP address and it actually returned back pingable which was strange.  It never switched over to my wan 2 which I had tested earlier via direction connection to pc and it worked.  Any ideas?

Attached are some screen shots.

I currently have opnsense installed a VM with Proxmox....

This is more of a proxmox question but I figure I can ask.

I set a static IP address within the opnsense lan configuration for Proxmox however I am unable to get to the Proxmox host via my lan network.  The Proxmox console does show the current IP address on console login.

I was advised that it needs to be reset at the Proxmox console level via command line but I am unfamiliar how to do.

Any guide on how to do this is appreciated.

Sweet, currently installing this is on a appliance now.

Do we have any instruction on how to do the email notifications via plug in?

Hello newbie here.  Switching my setup from untangle over to opnlsense.

Wanted to see if there's anything in the pipeline for reporting of networking activity via the GUI or via email

It nice to receive an email of the prior days activity or see it in s GUI format.

Things like total bandwidth, top client, top sites etc
