Does anyone know if its possible to update integration services  for Hyper-V 2016?

The FreeBSD kernel has these integrated.
It's not like Linux where you have add them manually.

I am running OPNsense in a Gen2 VM at home on my Hyper-V 2016 server, and in Gen1 on 2012 R2 before that.
Runs great.

Hmm, did you have to do anything special to run it as a gen 2? I have mine as a gen 1 mainly because I have had this firewall before they supported Gen2. I tried deploying a Gen 2 and I run into a couple issues, the console window stops taking keyboard input when trying to start the installation. Have you seen that before?

I ran into that as well. Remove the VM, start over.
There is another topic which goes deeper into it, with a reply from Fitch iirc explaining a bit about the issue.

It's a weird one, but has been running for me for almost half a year now (tried a test build with FreeBSD kernel 11.1 and Beta too).

Thanks the rebuild got me past the keyboard issue and then ran into this:

You see that or did I miss something in the guide?

You didn't miss anything. The installer is just buggy on Gen2.
Keep trying, although I don't think you will have to recreate the VM again.

Yeah I realized it let me type when it did that, I literally only had to feed it the installer creds again and it returned that that same screen and hitting enter on uefi it went. However then I was plagued by the console window not taking the keyboard again lol.

:-) it can be quite annoying, but luckily I hardly had problems setting up my VM at the time.

Any chance you have a link to the article that talked about the console window issue? I wasn't finding it by searching. If not, I want to say thanks for all the responses, it is greatly appreciated.

System\Settings\Administration
Close to the bottom there is an option named "Primary Console".
Set that to EFI.
