Configuration importer 18.1.6 images

Hello,

I did reinstall of my test FW today, and I tried to load configuration with config importer during install. The process fails, with error cant mount drive. I used USB drive with .xml config file, tried formating in FAT, FAT32 and NTFS..but nothing works...USB drive is picked up ok.

Am I doing something wrong or importer doesn't work?

The importer works fine if you are importing from a previous full installation which happens before formatting. It does not work with geom mirrors, only single drives that had opnsense already installed on them. It is not a config file importer from a flash drive.

If someone creates a ticket, I can look at fixing the GEOM mirror import..

For external media that is just a partition with a /conf directory there is a ticket, but other work got in the way and it's not that frequently asked for. It's not for the installer per se, but for loading external configurations in a running system. (And it would work with the install media, too.)
