Interface assigned to WireGuard not working as expected

I consulted the WireGuard Road Warrior Setup tutorial. The connection works. I also completed Step 4(a) - Assign an interface to WireGuard. However, firewall rules only seem to be applied if they are configured under "WireGuard (Group)." Rules for "WG0" are ignored. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find the cause of this. What can I do?

I'm sorry, it was my own fault. Rules in WG0 are now working as espected. I stubled about the warning above rules of "WireGuard (Group)" interface: "No WireGuard (Group) rules are currently defined. All incoming connections on this interface will be blocked until you add a pass rule. Exceptions for automatically generated rules may apply."
