To avoid potential issues, please delay updating OPNsense until Zenarmor confirms compatibility.

I updated a test instance of OPNSense with Zenarmor and didn't have and issues - but then found out it's not ready for prime time ?!?  Do we have to wait for an "all clear" message in this forum ??

I updated to 25.1 and the mongodb crashed, resetted the db in settings, and it function normal and proper again.
Am I missing something or am I just lucky?

The problem with MongoDB was resolving by performing a fresh database installation, but the repository has since been updated and the issue is now fixed. You don't need to do anything after update.

I can only share that for me, using an external elastic database it works without problems. But I have to admit I am a home user and I can rebuild the box easily (proxmox snapshot).
So in case you use opnsense on a business relevant machine I would recommend waiting for an official announcement.

Hello everyone,

I have upgraded.

The only issue I have seen so far is that all of the zenarmor configuration pages are not compliant with the new opnsense-dark theme that was released with opnsense 25.1

I have raised a ticket with zenarmor.

I know its low priority but it would be nice to have the theme updated.

i have had issues.  i have reported them to zen and opnsense.  i would recommend holding off for now,  my 2 cents.

Some errors were detected during data retiring for MongoDB
Something went wrong in the retiring data for reporting database

edit - looks like - navigate to Settings > Reporting & Data > Database and run Reset Reporting Data

fixed my issue although the dashbaord page still takes longer to pop up than ever before

Waited 4 days for these guys to give the okay before updating and then - yep - same mongodb errors multiple users here are reporting.  ZA is so frustrating.

EDIT -- Thanks @bandit8623 - your fix eliminated my crash report as well.  When I get some more cycles I'll have to dig deeper to ensure it did actually eliminate the log flood of those messages, but it's promising.

I can confirm this !  Funny enough, the other Dark themes available as plugins seem to work fine with zenarmor ?!?
