Hi all,

I am very new to Opnsense, I installed it about 2 weeks ago. I am using a Lanner NCA 1515 for my router. I have an issue where, when I restart my PC 9 times out of 10 it will not connect to the internet. I have to go in to the console of my router and use option 11 (Reload all services) and then I get internet instantly. I can not access the web GUI until I have done this, though I can successfully ping my router in powershell. I can not ping any DNS server.

I also have issues where on certain devices on WiFi internet will be blocked for a minute at a time then randomly come back. I am getting a warning on iPhone that the router is blocking encrypted DNS traffic.

Please help. I am building up a rack in the garage soon and don't want to have to go in to the console every time I want to use my PC.

It can be weak hardware problems, but these devices seem to have good hardware in them. You might have to come back to this.
Next thing to check is setup, some services attached to pseudo devices with ip addresses that haven't been brought up at the time a service needs to have them in a running "UP" state.
Example: In Unbound, selecting one or a few interfaces instead of "All (Recommended)".
Check that and also when/if happens again, instead of reloading all services, see for the ones that are not running so you can direct your diagnostic.

You've got to be a little more methodical when the issue occurs, testing the basics (IP, ping, DNS using nslookup) at various points on your network (PC, router, ...).
If it turns out that DNS fails, test with a different server,...

If everything points to DNS on your router, double check its configuration, check the logs...
