Manage OpenWRT APS from a OPNsense firewall

Hi all.
I am migrating my
sophos
hardware to opensource, and I chose opnsense for firewall (I have some SG105, SG115 and SG135 devices), and openwrt for wifi APs (I have at least 7 ap15).
I have successfully installed OPNsense by simply changing bios as this guide
https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=4196.0
, and openwrt with my own method because I found it is easier than people do, because sophos APs are a custom openwrt running inside.
https://forum.openwrt.org/t/howto-install-openwrt-on-sophos-ap15-easiest-method/214768
But now I have a question:
Isn't there any module developed yet in order to just manage remotely openwrt APs?
.
In my old sophos, there was a section where you could add devices and configure which SSIDs each one would work with, and as I prove on my install method there are openwrt devices.
I have seen that the openwisp project does that but, the rest of the functions are covered by my opnsense firewall, so I think it would be very useful in scenarios like mine, a central APS controller, like unify, sophos or openwisp do, only inside an OPNSENSE module.
In my search I found some related topics as a similar request in 2017
https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=5465.msg22173#msg22173
, but no solution or way to do it without installing another server separately with openwisp.
Do you know any other solution?
I pretend to deploy only dumb APs with fast roaming, but it will be interesting magane them from firewall as I was doing at sophos OS.
