Will this hardware do the job?

I want to create a OPNsense router. This is for my single user home network. I have optical 1GB internet. I have a gigabit router and switches and a Unifi wifi nest.
I am planning on using one of two mini computers I have for the OPNese install. I was previously using them with TVs to browse and stream. They original came with Windows 8 but long ago I upgraded to windows 10. They can handle W10 browsing and streaming this just fine.
Hardware identical except for one has 2GB of DDR3 RAM and the other 4GB. SSD is 60GB. They both use an
Intel Celeron N2808
CPU Specifications
• Total Cores 2
• Total Threads 2
• Burst Frequency2.25 GHz
• Processor Base Frequency1.58 GHz
• Cache1 MB L2 Cache
• Scenario Design Power (SDP)3 W
• TDP4.5 W
It is all old hardware but it has always been reliable for what I used it for.
Question:
Will either one of them run ok in my setup with OPNSense as a Transparent Filtering bridge?
Any and all help appreciated! Thanks

If its not PPPoE, I would say it could barely run 1G, but under the condition you will not use anything else on the FW, such as Shaper, IPS, ZA, Unbound or anything that can eat in the CPU.
Truth is this is a very old HW as you mentioned by yourself, sooner or later you will hit performance issues.
Check rather some N5105 or N100 devices if your budget is thin.

Your main concern is the network interface. If it's modern Intel, then it will work. If it's Realtek, then it will be bogged down. I dunno about Qualcomm etc, they may or may not work.
Also it depends on how much processing the router will do for you: will you have many firewall rules, blacklists, geoip etc. If it's just a router, then it should be fine. If you are going to use all these features then it may lag, but I am not sure of how badly.
