Server/FW side Anti-Virus, C-ICAp + ClamAV
« on: September 21, 2024, 09:10:39 pm »
Hello,
Question:
As it takes forever (about 4 hours now and still spinning) to download the signature list for ClamAV, I'm wondering ...
I've installed both C-ICAP and ClamAV,
1) Do I need to install both ?
2) Should I've installed CamAV and only then C-ICAP ?
3) If I install only C-ICAP, will it have to DL the signature list from ClamAV anyway ?

Just so I know if I have to keep waiting, or if I can/should just cancel ClamAV update

I don't know the answers to 1 to 3 but nothing would take that long normally. Something's wrong.
Cancel and start again with it please. No need to wait for it unless you were a) downloading a very large file over a very slow connection (which might have timed out), or the device is super underpowered.
