TUN or TAP - Specific need

I need to host a virtual server for a client but that server's IP is part of their local network and cannot be renumbered for various reasons. Nothing else is needed other than IP access to the one IP address of the server, DHCP is done at the client's location. The obvious choice would be a OVPN tap bridge but I've followed a few tutorials from legacy releases of OPNsense here and the setup option are different.
Since there's only one machine I was also wondering if if was worth it to setup a full bridge between the two sites. OPNsense 24.1.x is running on both sides, my location and the client's location.
Can someone point me in the right direction to set that up and/or suggest something in relation with tun vs tap for that one machine?
I've done that often in the past but for remote workers using OVPN from various locations but never from a location that is numbered the same on both sides. My own numbering is different and will not conflict, I want to end the OVPN connection on a separate interface on my router and us VLAN from there to reach the Server's VM. I don't have physical access to the remote router so I prefer to get good advises instead of wandering into FAFO territory and getting locked out.
Thanks you very much,
JF.
