Point to a Website
« on: February 09, 2024, 07:44:23 pm »
Hello all,

I am newbie around web sites and getting them to work properly thru OPNsense, so I hope you can help. I have a web site I am in the midst of building with WordPress. I now have WordPress installed and when I hit the site internally via an IP it responds with a sample page. I setup a port forward in OPNsense, so port 80 inbound is forwarded to the server/website on port 80. I use Cloudflare to front end my domain, and turned off Cloudflare for testing. I have pointed Cloudflare DNS to my public IP.

From the outside I point to www.my_domain.net but it never resolves. Am I missing something in OPNsense that says if you see something for www.my_domain.net pass it to the server/website I set the port forward for. Another complication is that there is an ISP router in front of my OPNsense firewall, but the firewall is set as a DMZ host, so I should not have to port forward from the ISP router correct?

Thanks,
Steve
