New installation -- console locked

I've just completed a fresh install of 22.7. I've logged in to the webUI and imported only the "System" section of my pfsense config. Upon rebooting, the console menu partially loads (see attachment) and the system appears to be in some pseudo-hung sort of state. Hitting various keys on the keyboard while it's in this state does nothing, nor do any of the interfaces that I've configured respond to pings (which they should have based on my ruleset prior to the config load).. I can't load the webUI etc. However if I do things like plug/unplug ethernet cables I do get console messages that indicate the change in link status. So, it's not really totally frozen, I just can't interact with it at all or, so it seems. Anyway.... is there some way to interrupt the bootup process in some way before it gets to this point? Can I access a shell prompt or something that'll allow me to fix the borked config? I'm really trying to avoid reinstalling everything from scratch on this box if I can.

I've answered my own question......
For anyone else searching around for answers if you've managed to wedge your system like I did -- choose option number "2" for single user mode at the opnsense boot menu that comes up just after your P.O.S.T completes. That'll allow you to get to a shell prompt so that you can edit stuff or move files around or whatever you need to do.
