Tunables - working or not?

Hi,
Im new to OPNsense so if my questins is stupid please dont flame me. :-)
I have looked at these guides and tried some of the settings.

https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=24409.0
I added some settings in the "tunable" section and they shows up as unsupported. So my questions is are the settings not supported by the system or is it just in the tunable section? And will they work if I add them to the loader.conf.local file?
My setup:
Versions OPNsense 22.1.2_1-amd64
FreeBSD 13.0-STABLE
OpenSSL 1.1.1m 14 Dec 2021
CPU type Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz (4 cores, 8 threads)

Unsupported in 99% of the cases means the system does not know them and will not use them. There are a few exceptions for the boot loader, but these are not typically the values that are added by users.
FreeBSD and contributors tend to remove/rename tunables regularly for all sorts of reasons (good and bad).
Cheers,
Franco
