Installing WireGuard 1.10 on 21.7.8 kills access to the internet (DNS?)

Hey, all.

I apologize in advance for the lack of details that I have.

I decided last evening to check out the wireguard tutorial and hook it up to Mullvad. I was running 21.7.7 and attempted to install the package. The installer asked me to upgrade to 21.7.8, which went fine. After the upgrade, I again attempted to install wireguard 1.10 via the UI.

It seemed to install properly, but about a minute after the installation, my connection to the internet died. I tried rebooting a couple times, and same deal. It would allow access to the WAN for around a minute before it shut me down. I ended up uninstalling the wireguard package, but the issue didn't resolve itself. That one minute barrier seemed to persist. I upgraded (quickly) to 22.1, but again, the issue persisted.

I ended up having to nuke and pave the drive, install 21.7 from scratch, and then apply my config. At that point, everything except dynamic dns worked just fine. DDNS just won't (or can't) connect to google and returns a 400 in the logs. I only bring this up in case someone recognizes a pattern.

I again attempted to install the wireguard package (for science), and ended up with the same result. Rinse and repeat.

So what in my config, wireguard 1.10, etc, would cause my internet connection (maybe dns?) to drop after a minute following a reboot? Where do I start troubleshooting? I'd really love to start using the wireguard package.

So I ended up nuking the machine and installing a fresh copy of 22.1 and reloading my config. Now I can install WireGuard without issue, but turning on intrusion detection drops my WAN connection. It looks like all interfaces drop but don't come back up. That and dynamic dns isn't working.

Does this combination of events ring any bells?
