When i create a port forward rule there is no automatic firewall rule created.

When i created it manaully the port is still not open en blocked form the internet.

Im i missing something?

I created the Port forware rule no 5 times but there is no WAN firewall rule automatically created. Is this a bug?

Hi Samplex,

I am running:
OPNsense 21.1.5-amd64
FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE-p16-HBSD
OpenSSL 1.1.1k 25 Mar 2021

When I created a forward rule I usually changed the last two settings of a rule:

  • NAT reflection
If not enabled I cannot test out from my local network to the public IP address.
  • Filter rule association
If I do not set this to PASS no firewall rule will be created. The created firewall rule is invisible within the firewall configuration.

Kind Regards
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

I got the same version

Every NAT rule i make it not works.
Tried a lot of firewall brands but this is the first which don't work at all.

Maybe have to try pfsense or got back to my Ubiquiti router :(

I do a port forward with an associated WAN rule and it works flawlessly. Try a WAN rule.
