Hey,
so I have an Opnsense box running and want to setup wifi, for this I bought an access point. While setting the access point up I was greeted with a Privacy Agreement, which I had to accept to even complete the setup. Now I dont really want the APs manufacturer spying on me in my private network and the question I have is: how can I block the access point itself from communicating with the internet while allowing the clients of the access point to talk freely?
Maybe it is easiest to just return this device and buy something better instead, but I am curious if something like this is even possible.

you can create a firewall rule where you can block the AP to access WAN.
but, if you don't trust the device: send it back (if possible)...

Hi Brainleg,

i agree to annoniempjuh.

its better to send it back.

To block this device for communications to the internet do not make sense.
From time to time you will need security/firmware updates too.
