Multi-WAN - Loadbalancing via VPN
« on: June 29, 2020, 12:20:35 pm »
Hello everybody,

I posted this question initially in the german section, but I think it can't hurt to also ask the English-speaking members of the community.
German post: https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=17858.0

I am currently planning a network that we will connect to the Internet via two or more providers.

The traffic of the guest WLAN should go out as via sticky session load balancing.

The traffic of normal WLANs should be routed entirely through an OPNSense server in a data center. So load balancing could also be used without sticky sessions since there is only one external IP (that of the server in the data center) through which all the traffic goes out. The main reason is that an external static IP is necessary.

Is this possible with OPNSense, and is there any information somewhere? Unfortunately, I have not found anything on this particular topic via the search function and Google.

Thank you in advance.
