Packet process order

Hello together,

not sure if it the right name.
i'm not so familiar with the actual process order.

currently i have dshield list in IPS. i was thinking of moving it to the firewall. i don't need a log/alert on that. i trust the list.

so i'm looking lets call it path of the packet.
i'm just assuming here

WAN
  |
Routing
  |
Firewall rules
  |
IPS
  |
NAT
  |
Routing
  |
LAN

can sameone clearify that for me.
