Own Radius Server
«

hi everyone
i would like to migrate from pfsense to opnsense
this project looks amazing, but i was trying to find a radius server, like Freeradius on pfsense but i couldn't find it
i need radius only for somes fields on the user manager or a more complete user manager.
example:
Simult. Connections
Possible Login Times
Redirection URL
other things like certificates and secure logins, i don't need that.
any comment is welcome
thanks a lot
pd: sorry about my english

Hi Darevas,
There'll be a radius plugin at some point, but nobody is working on it. I can try to bring freeradius into the packages so that it could be set up as a backend for now:
https://github.com/opnsense/tools/issues/17
Note that a package is not visible in the GUI and must be configured according to FreeBSD standards.
Ad is going to rewrite the captive portal for 16.1 and I also have some improvements I want to get in.
All in all, waiting for 16.1 might be your best option if you are looking for a easy to use GUI based solution.
Cheers,
Franco
