Did I do something wrong with this setup? I can't for the life of me access the gui, but I can ping it.

An IP address conflict (host and VM do have the same IPv4 address)

So if I change the host IP to 192.168.20.2 then it should work or do I need it on a different subnet?

try .10 because as far as I know in some configurations .2 is used for the default gateway (VirtualBox Nat adapter).

Do you know if there's anything else I have to do to get the IP's to pass through correctly? I followed the guide (
https://linoxide.com/firewall/install-opnsense-virtualbox/
) and I just can't get it to work. I've even changed it to the same subnet as my main network, using unused IP's
Here's all the settings:

that should work because mine is similar - the only thing is that you may have switched your adapters in the VM.

.222 for the server seems to overlap into the DHCP range.
I normally use 192.168.56.1/24 for the host and 192.16856.2/24 for the guest.
But the host-only is the LAN adapter (first) and the second one is plain NAT adapter which automatically gives the WAN an IP and internet access.
Cheers,
Franco

Is there something I have to enable in Win10 to get the networks to see each other? The Windows firewall is disabled, I don't have any AV installed beyond Windows Defender. I can't for the life of me get my VM to even get a WAN IP. I've tried creating two host networks and bridging one with my ethernet connection. I've tried all of the VM Network settings and literally nothing works. At one point I did get a WAN IPv6 address but I have no idea where that even came from and I couldn't access it after I disabled the Opnsense firewall.
