Can't access opnsense.org

Here is a head scrtacher.  Recently inserted opnsense appliance into my network.  Working great... until I try to go to opnsense.org.  Then nothing.  Also can't update.  All other websites that I have tried work.  All my iot devices work.  Only opnsense .org does not work.  To do this post I had to connect my computer to the isp modem directly.  My LAN interface has only default rules.  No block floating rules apply to LAN.  I created separate interfaces, one for computers, one for iot devices.  Even on LAN with only default rules can't get to opnsense.org.  Before putting the appliance into production I was using it through the existing router and then I was able to access opnsense.org.  Now, directly connecting to the isp modem I cannot.  Anyone else see this behavior?

I have the same problem, couldn't access https://forum.opnsense.org. After restarting and changing the IP it works again. All other websites worked, the only problem was https://forum.opnsense.org and https://opnsense.org

Having the same problem today but it looks like a routing problem at Deutsche Telekom / RIPE. Can't traceroute for opnsense.org there, but it's fine with Telefonica as ISP. Connections to opnsense-update.deciso.com are fine with both providers.

Connection was not possible again. New address and it works again, let's see how long.

Connectivity is back again for me without restarting anything on my end. Looking at the traceroute outputs during the day, it seems to me that Leasenet is or has been working on their IPv4 routing. Unfortunately, forum.opnsense.org does not offer IPv6 connectivity which has been fine all day to opnsense.org even though it shares the IPv4 address with forum.opnsense.org. Deutsche Telekom is routing IPv6 to Leasenet via twelve99.net while IPv4 goes directly to Leasenet.

Edit: LeaseWeb actually, not Leasenet

Same problem here, can't connect to https://opnsense.org, https://doc.opnsense.org, https://forum.opnsense.org from my normal isp. But it will connect to those sites when on vpn.

For the whole day I couldn't connect to forum.opnsense.org from one site, while it was working perfectly from another site. Some 3 min ago I pulled in a fresh WAN IP and afterwards the forum.opnsense.org loaded just fine on first try.

Is opnsense.org blocking some IPs for unknown reasons?
kind regards

A router is not a switch - A router is not a switch - A router is not a switch - A rou....

Most likely some security alarms have been triggered - there were reports of slowness over the weekend - and initial countermeasures have been a bit more broad than intended.

Just a guess, could be way off here.

Everything is working now.  Don't know why the site worked on my phone when connected to cellular or on my computer when plugged directly into the isp modem but would not work going through the appliance but now is working through the appliance.  My computer is setup to only use ipv4, the phone likely can use ipv6 on cellular only since I have ipv6 blocked on the appliance.  Apparently the issue was on their end.  I just put the appliance into production yesterday so I though I messed up a setting.

Currently in France can't connect via opnsense router using orange FTTP to opnsense.org forum. Switching to cellular or VPNing to my UK instance and all is well again. Orange recently allocated me a new IP which is when the issue started so I suspect a routing issue as other have indicated

Cannot access opnsense.org via my router, only via cell phone from Germany. This is since yesterday.

Our infrastructure has been under attack for the past couple of days since the weekend. The situation is manageable, but it does cause intermittent connectivity issues anyway.

We've also had to block a couple of IP blocks including popular VPN providers because part of the attacks came from these providers.

If you are currently having trouble accessing the forum contact project AT opnsense DOT org for coordination.
