« on: December 26, 2017, 03:29:19 pm »
Hello guys,

Does anyone know what are the options for sending emails from opnsense shell ?
I have a script which checks opnsense logfiles and i would like to receive notifications with script output via email from opnsense

Regards,
Viktor

17.1 Legacy Series / OPNsense 17.1.8 WAN2 interface flapping
« on: June 26, 2017, 03:37:37 pm »
Hello,

platform description:
 - dual ISP (configured as failover GW group)
 - allow default gateway switching enabled
 - LAN traffic routed to GW roup
 - WAN2 phys link is up all the time
 - DynDSN is disabled
 - defaut GW is WAN1_GW

noticed pretty weird behavior for dual-homed ISP connection on latest version of opnsense:
- lan interface become unavailable via icmp
- every 20 min router loosing connection with ISP gateway on WAN2 interface.
- after 10-15 min connection restores
- after connection restore - router sets default route via WAN2_GW (although it shouldn't because WAN1_GW is up and running and WAN1_GW is a default gateway)
- every connection loss and recovery are followed by:
Jun 26 xx:xx:xx configd.py: [xxxx] updating dyndns WAN2_ISP_DHCP
Jun 26 xx:xx:xx configd.py: [xxxx] updating rfc2136 WAN2_ISP_DHCP
Jun 26 xx:xx:xx configd.py: [xxxx] Restarting OpenVPN tunnels/interfaces

Issue occurred right after upgrading from opnsense v16.7 to latest available version

Let me know if you have seen similar behavior and what's the possible fix for that
