We've got people in Europe and Asia connecting to the same internal servers. Lately, some of them get super slow response times, even small file transfers take ages. I checked the VPN logs on our OPNsense box, nothing really jumps out. The internet lines seem fine and other stuff works normal. I've tried a few tweaks here and there but it's still hit or miss. I was reading something related on daftime.ae about cross-region latency and routing inconsistencies, and it made me wonder if this could be more of a path optimization or peering issue than a pure VPN problem. Just wondering if this is something anyone ran into with teams spread across continents.

I'm using a cloud service, you know, syncthemcalendars, for to synchronize my calendars (Outlook and Google, very handy) for manage my availability without showin' my private appointments. The problem, it is to securing this flow! It send so much data to cloud servers on a regular basis. I would like to know how you guys manage this kind of permanent SaaS/cloud connection on the firewall. Is there a specific rule with Suricata or maybe Zenarmor, or some filtering trick, for to isolate this traffic without block it?
