Machine 1 that has been working for years. Dell r210. Noticed storage? or ram was 101 % utilization, kept crashing even after reboot

since I was moving over to a new unit thought nothing of it
Qotom 1U Rackmount https://www.servethehome.com/everything-homelab-node-goes-1u-rackmount-qotom-intel-review/ got the C3758R 2 m.2mvme for redundancy and 8gb ram. It was not exactly the highest quality stuff. Local computer shop, memory express,
This 2nd setup has the following
dual wan, still need to finish configuring. No WireGuard setup yet, not much for rules except some port forwarding. I have been noticing the ram use has slowly been creeping up.

the issues only really started once this new version was released. I even noticed the gui was smooth then started to run, pause then run and pause and repeat. its all smooth now but will see in a few days.

General Discussion / dual ISP, set range for diffrent ISP
November 28, 2023, 03:27:07 AM
using 2 ISP at the moment. I am looking at doing the following if I can
Have an ISP 1 range, /23 some are in DHCP assignment and the rest are manual
ISP has a similar setup but all manually assigned.
10.0.0.5 is DHCP ISP 1
10.0.1.5 is static assigned ISP 1
10.1.0.5 is static assigned ISP 2
I do have it setup that if ISP is 1 goes down isp 2 takes over, mostly I would care about the dhcp range

in the past, I had to tell pfSense to send this ISP to this ip address, something a little more automatic would be nice.

Right now I have 2 VPN providers, both expiring at roughly the same time. Mullvad and PIA. I have not set anything up on either vpn providers yet.
My question and thought is this
My dhcp server assigns addresses in the 10.10.100.xxx range. I have a /23 subnet and 10.10.101.xxx is manually assigned ip range
Can I set it up so anything in that 10.10.101.xxx range goes through a vpn provider? if I have 10.10.101.xxx use mullvad and 10.10.102.xxx use pia is that also an option?
I am afraid my dell r210 might not keep up with both vpn providers, I could be wrong but also want something new soon as well. Front facing ports
