Zenarmor (Sensei) / Re: Sites occasionally not blocked

The occasional appearance of detected threats as allowed could be caused by various factors. To better evaluate the situation, we would need to examine the logs.

Could you please follow the instructions in the link below to share the logs and configuration with us? Kindly ensure that you select all options during the process:

Hi Jerry,

The issue of the Zenarmor tab not appearing in the menu can be caused by a few different reasons. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

First, ensure that your OPNsense installation is fully up to date. You can check for updates by navigating to System > Firmware > Updates in the OPNsense interface. If updates are available, install them and reboot your system afterward.

Sometimes, browser cache or configuration issues can cause problems like this. Clear your browser cache and refresh the page using CTRL + F5. Alternatively, try accessing the interface using a different browser or by using incognito/private mode.

If you are using a "Dark" theme in the OPNsense interface, it may cause compatibility issues that prevent the Zenarmor tab from appearing. Switch to the default theme and check again. You can change the theme by going to System > Settings > General > Theme.

Finally, verify that Zenarmor is properly installed. Go to System > Firmware > Plugins in the OPNsense interface and check if Zenarmor is listed there. If it is listed but the tab is still missing, try uninstalling and reinstalling Zenarmor.

If the issue persists after following these steps, feel free to share more details.

This is a known cosmetic warning issue in Zenarmor and is planned to be fixed in the next release. Normally, this warning should only appear for users who have Cloud Management Portal (CMP) enabled. However, seeing this message despite not having CMP activated is a mistakenly triggered condition.

This warning does not pose any security risks and does not affect the functionality of your network. If you haven't enabled Cloud Management Portal, you can safely ignore this message.

The issue will be resolved in the next software update.

Zenarmor allows configuring report frequency only as daily, weekly, or monthly. Therefore, there is no direct setting to receive reports every 12 hours. However, you can manually set up a cron job in System > Settings > Cron to run the Zenarmor reporting script:

/usr/local/opnsense/scripts/OPNsense/Zenarmor/report-gen/send.py

Setting Up a Cron Job

1 - Go to System > Settings > Cron.
2 - Add a new cron job.
3 - Use the above command and set the schedule to 0 */12 * * * for every 12 hours.

Avoid Conflicts

Ensure the cron job does not overlap with Zenarmor's internal reporting schedule.
For example, if Zenarmor generates daily reports, set the cron job at a different time.

Alternative Solutions

1 - Syslog Integration: Export logs to a syslog server for analysis every 12 hours. Refer to the Zenarmor Syslog Integration documentation.
2 - API Usage: If you have technical expertise, use the Zenarmor API to create a custom script that generates reports every 12 hours.

For more information, check out the Zenarmor Documentation or contact our support team.

Zenarmor (Sensei) / Re: Devices auto disappear
December 01, 2024, 12:16:48 PM
Inactive devices are deleted after 30 days, as we believe this duration is sufficient to prevent the device database from growing unnecessarily.

Taking your feedback into account, we will forward this request to the product team for further consideration.

Currently, Zenarmor automatically clears devices that have not been seen for 30 days.
However, there is no setting available to disable this feature.

Hope this helps!

Dear all,

May I know if there is a rule so that Zenarmor auto clear devices haven't seen for some days?
I always keep missing some devices when it didn't connected for some days.
I would like to disable this feature if it is there.
Please advise. Thank you.
