Yes of course.
I forgot that, I was so sure that i had configured the wan interface for zenarmor.
But it was the lan interface.

cant select my assigned wan interface for zenarmor.
have worked perfect until yesterday (after a reboot).

when if I change the wan interface to one of the interface the zenarmor can identify it will not work.
So i guess its something in a config thats messing things up. If its the opnsense config or the zenarmors config I dont know.

on the images igb2 is my interface assigned to be the wan interface.

I have uninstalled (deleted all files) zenarmor
I have "factory reseted" the zenarmor packetengine.

nothing seems to be working.

on my dec3850 I cant choose interfaces. (can only choose my LAN interfaces vlan.

only if I use L2 mode... i get my wan interface.
must be some kind of bug ?

I cant update opnsense.
it just get stuck (not checking repos for update).

everything else works fine ?

Do I need to use the rep from mimugmail to be able to install the unifi controller on opnsense ?

I tried to stop the unbound dns service...did not work..(the service did not stop)
So i decided the reboot tin he system.
Now i have a idle cpu usage on about 1% and same temperature, no delays in dns resolving.

Did not except that would be needed since a reboot was made when upgraded to 23.7.2.

I pretty sure the cpu is not cooled with a fan, however....I think then the cpu starts to peak it draws more power...and the power suppy have to work more (and its fans)...
I pretty sure its a software problem that is the root cause of this problem.

something is wrong with unbound dns.....

when I try o resolve a name it takes like 15-20 sec before i get the result.

it takes time for the system to register in the backend log as well

it seems to be ALOT of problem with DEC3850.

last time I had to upgrade the bios after doing a firmware upgrade (system update).

and now this....

my dec3850 is have become really loud overnight.
the fans goes at the highest speed all the cpu usage goes "low" 16% usage and peaks up to 70% usage. from time to time.

it also takes long time to check for updates, it feels like something is using up the cpu and some services have to wait until its avabile.

anyone else got them problems ?

FIXED NOW.
BIOS UPDATE DID THE TRICK.

I cant boot into single mode either (it gets stuck in the console just where the normal (multi mode does).
i can see that the system is still alive (I see changes in the console  when i insert/ remove a sfp module)

how can it be built like this there must be something you can do.

im trying to boot safemode (will not start)
I have tried go to singlemode (thought I could mount and delete config file)...cant go into single mode.
trying to do the same thing with "the old kernel" that you can choose at the startupscreen....

I have tried with pfsense, that dont start up either. It freezes during the boot.

Is there a way to factory reset the device ?
