I installed on 24.7.7 and it works with a warning that its outdated

Got this working again, with a clean install. Problem now is no interfaces show up. Just OPNsense.localdomain, on the previous versions all my interfaces and vlans showed up. Digging through the files of netdata on the opnsense plugin it looks like the interfaces plugin is missing.

Fix was to comment out the: "unbound_enable" line (also can be "local_unbound")

Located: /etc/rc.conf

Thank you some much @Mokkori-Man for the fix : )

*Edit, problem was two unbound instances running.

Did you change the listening port to 5353 because you want to run DoT locally?

Yes, has been working great for a couple of years : )

I can force close process 75119 and all is good. But on reboot I have the same problem again.

Any ideas?

Updated to the newest version of OpnSense and now am having issues with unbound.

If I change the unbound port to 5353 and reboot. There are still two processes running on 53

unbound  unbound    51797 7   udp4   *:5353                *:*
unbound  unbound    51797 8   tcp4   *:5353                *:*

unbound  unbound    75119 6   tcp4   127.0.0.1:53          *:*

This didn't happen before I updated. I need it off of 127.0.0.1:53 because that is where my AdGuard is.

Even did a reinstall with config restore, same thing happens.

Any thoughts?

Thank you,
Josh

I am not sure what is going on with it, must be conflicting with Ad-Guard is my only thoughts. Can't do a fresh install of OpnSense because I have too complicated of a configuration to re-setup :/

Did this happen after an update? Worked before? Which Version now?

So sorry for the late reply. This has been happening for several version now, I want to say at least 5 maybe more. Currently on 24.7.6.

I have had this problem for the last few updates. But the netdata plugin will not start the service.

I have tried uninstalling through the GUI and I have also tried the below with no luck:

pkg delete os-netdata
pkg delete netdata
rm -fr /var/log/netdata /var/db/netdata var/cache/netdata
rm -fr /root/var/cache/netdata /root/var/db/netdata /root/var/log/netdata
rm -fr /usr/local/etc/netdata /var/cache/netdata /var/mail/netdata

pkg install os-netdata
service netdata start

In the system log I am getting this error:

24.1, 24.4 Legacy Series / NAT help please

Hello all I recently added a 9 port 2.5g POE switch to my setup to power all my cameras, my ap and modem.

OPNsense is installed on a HP t740 with an intel 2 port 10g nic. Attached is a diagram:

I ran out of ports and had to get creative with the NVR.

But I need help with NAT.

VLAN 40 (CCTV) is 10.10.40.1/24
Realtek nic on OPNsense(CCTVNVR) is 10.10.45.1/24

The reolink NVR will not detect cameras that are not on the same subnet. So I need VLAN 40 to seem like they are on 10.10.45.1/24.

Also attached is a screenshot of my NAT rules and firewall rules, I thought would work, but does not.

I was able to get this working with upnp, does this mean I should be able to accomplish the same without?

If so can someone help me with getting this to work without upnp?

General Discussion / Plex upnp help please
January 24, 2024, 08:48:31 PM
Hello all, I have plex in a docker on my unraid server which is on my main LAN 192.168.1.0/24

Could someone help me with setting up upnp for Plex only with the universal plugin?

I have tried to port forward 32400 and add server:private-domain:"plex.direct" to unbound and still cannot get the remote working.

Thank you in advance : )
