i have the same problem but its only using PPPOE connection...
i am not using openvpn/...
also i have this annoying ipv6 gw problem on pppoe connection

using cable modem via dhcp , no problem at all...

i have a real annoying problem.
opnsense is creating an ipv6 gw on any pppoe connection type.
there is no dhcpv6 running according to services,
i disabled it in the wan interface "none"
i disabled it in the lan interface "none"
i disabled it in firewall settings "allow ipv6"

but it is still creating this gateway without any real ipv6 address !

pfsense act like normal, if i want ipv6 it is using it on pppoe and creating a gw, if i disabled it, it is not creating a gw

i already tried to use ipv6, but it is also not getting any ipv6 address from provider... in pfsense it is no problem.
in my opinion this gw give me alot of trouble in my dualwan setup, which is also not working. in pfsense it is working fine with the same settings

what is wrong ? is this a bug?

sehr verwirrend... hab jetzt noch mal ne neuinstallation mit pfsense gemacht... da funktioniert es einwandfrei... da taucht auch kein IPv6 gateway auf, wenn ich das nicht will

Moin,

hab jetzt 3 Tage rumprobiert, bekomme es einfach nicht hin. Bin inzwischen factory default gestartet, weil ich dachte irgendwas ist in den Rules falsch, aber es funktioniert trotzdem nicht.

Zur Ausgangslage:
- VDSL / Kabel anschluss, beides über Modem
- kabel modem im bridge modus (dhcp lan1)
- vdsl modem ... pppoe einwahl über opnsense
- stinknormaler pc mit quad-intel karte , baremetal
- beide Anschlüsse funktionieren über die Firewall , solange das andere interface deaktiviert ist

Was ich schon nicht verstehe... egal ob ich beim Telekom Anschluss IPv6 DHCP eintrage oder none, es taucht immer ein IPv6 Gateway auf, der aber diese fe80:: adresse hat...

Habe dann eine GW Group erstellt , habe mir auch zich Anleitungen im Internet angeguckt... zuletzt bin ich nach dieser hier vorgegangen (nach factory reset):

Leider fängt das System dann völlig an zu spacken. Wenn VDSL als Tier1 läuft, fängt der Vodafone GW aufeinmal an unendlich viel Paketverlust anzuzeigen. Der Anschluss funktioniert aber einwandfrei, wenn er nicht am selben System hängt... wenn ich dann VDSL rausziehe, läuft der Anschluss nicht richtig. Der Paketverlust scheint also real zu sein.
Ich verstehe auch nicht warum dieses (active) auch immer hin und herspringt... auch beim VDSL anschluss... immer von ipv4 auf ipv6 usw.

Funktioniert dual WAN überhaupt mit opnsense ?

Diese APU Boards sind Gurken ... nachdem ich auf FTTH 1GBIT umgerüstet habe, ist die Kiste rausgeflogen. Damals gabs aber auch noch kein wirkliches Workaround, wie man das schneller bekommt...
Nutze aktuell nen Ryzen 2200G als baremetal firewall... hab ne quad intel karte reingesteckt.

Seither keine Probleme mehr... Ich habs nicht hinbekommen da mehr Speed rauszuholen...

aktuell werkel ich daran noch einen Kabel Anschluss als Backup WAN2 anzubinden,,, klappt aber noch nicht so wirklich wie ich mir das vorstelle
