Hi,
How do I get SolarWinds Orion to monitor my server by SNMP and not just ICMP?
version = OPNsense 21.7.8-amd64
FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE-p22-HBSD
OpenSSL 1.1.1m 14 Dec 2021
I've managed it to get it woring vis ICMP but I can;t seem to work out how to do it via SNMP and ICMP.

Any help gratefully received

Hi,
SNMP is installed on my appliance but I don't know how to enable it..also..what do I need to put in Solarwinds?

Hi,  thanks for getting back to me...anyway......just sussed it...I wrongly set a default gateway for the LAN during initial set up... a default gateway is only necessary for the WAN  interface  ::)

Hi, I'm using OPNsense-21.7.1-OpenSSL-dvd-amd64.iso
I'm halfway through setting it up but I'm getting the error  below when I go to the web gui and click on "check for updates"...by the way... my /etc/resolv.conf file has domain <name of domain.> and another 2 lines which are my primary and secondary DNS servers
...can anybody help?

hi thanks for that...I've successfully got it to reply to ICMP requests  , but when hooking it up to my monitoring solution..it sends the replies fine to the first few  ICMP packets then it stops sending them..is there a way I can make it keep replying to ICMP packets indefinitely ?

Hi,
I've just spun up a server with this version   OPNsense 21.7.1-amd64
FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE-p19-HBSD

I can ping my monitoring server just fine from the appliance itself but I can't ping the appliance from my monitoring box.....has anybody experienced this before...is there a way to enable ICMP to my LAN interface?

any help gratefully received
