25.7 Series / 25.7 Fresh install - working great
July 24, 2025, 01:27:26 PM
Hi,

Fresh install, simple home setup on an n150 based mini pc with i226 NICs running 3 vlans, pppoe to my ISP at ~900/100mbit.

Just wanted to say thank you to all involved for this version - I've not even had to enter any tuneables to get full network throughput (which I've had to do previously). I've found the supporting examples inside the dnsmasq documentation straightforward to understand and follow

Up and running without complaint from the family netflix ING / voiping / video conferencing for a day now.

All great, much appreciated 👍

Click on "Check for Updates".

Ha, yes that was my first port of call but I made an assumption that mimugmail had been able to update the package (to 1.4.x) so was confused when no updates were highlighted.  I them made my second (wrong) assumption that I must therefore need to perform other steps.

I see now I just need to be patient for mimugmail to update the package and then updating for my installation is done in the 'normal' Opnsense way.

Many thanks

General Discussion / Re: unifi9 in community repo

Hi,

Forgive my ignorance - I only installed the Unifi package a couple of days ago (which is working perfectly) - how do I update the package to 9.1.120 from 9.0.114 ?

A click inside the Unifi app just allows me to download the file, so I assume I need to reinstall the package via GUI or there's some kind of shell PKG command I need to run ?

Thanks in advance for any assistance - the repo is really great and I (as I'm sure others do also) really appreciate the time and effort you put in to make it work for the benefit of others

+1 to that.  Big thanks for your efforts over the years.  Just like a marathon, rest assured there are many folk out here cheering you on :)

Is your date/time set accurately ?
If not, is your dns working ?

If not, temporarily set dns to something simple like 8.8.8.8, then sync clock

Did you already try putting the fqdn in the dns field ?
