After the update to 23.7.6 I have a strange problem with drop down menus when using the Ipad to browse the web UI. I can click correctly the menu, the menu open up and the everything else scrolls down and when I click one of the menu voices the menu close and everything else goes up to the correct position. This behaviour occurs for every drop down menu and with every browser (chrome, safari, edge).

This is the only error that I can see when I try to reload the interface (Interfaces -> Overview):

/usr/local/etc/rc.configure_interface: The command '/sbin/dhclient -c '/var/etc/dhclient_opt2.conf' -p '/var/run/dhclient.run0_wlan1.pid' 'run0_wlan1'' returned exit code '1', the output was 'run0_wlan1: no link .............. giving up'

Is there something else that I can try?

After 22.1 update I have a problem with a WiFi interface that I use as a WAN backup. It cannot connect and obtain the IP via dhcp if the SSID is hidden. I used to have the SID hidden for a long time without a problem. Is there something I'm missing?

I recently configured and openvpn server on my Opnsense. Everything works good but it seems that everytime a client connects to my ovpn server my insight datas are messed up. The graphs and datas from 24 hour average are not visible anymore and somethimes the other graphs puts ovpn nic datas in WAN datas so datas are completely wrong. Is there a way to filter out the ovpn connection completely from flowd?

Problem seems to be solved after update to 21.1.7_1.

After update to 21.1.7 the reverse lookup on my opnsense box is not working anymore (I'm using unbound on the box). I didn't changed anything. Any suggestion on what can I check?

You're right Franco. I checked again and I found that that problem was related to the ntopng repository I installed. I removed it and installed again and now everything is working.

Thanks a lot.

I have exactly the same problem and the same versions:

pkg   1.15.10_2
pkgconf   1.7.3,1

The problem started, as far as I can tell, after the update to 21.1.1.

Hi mb,

top -SP is not showing anything strange, no single CPU is at 100%. I tried testing the speed to the internet.

Hi @mb. The hardware is 2 CPUs x Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5257U CPU @ 2.70GHz with 8GB RAM. I don't think the problem may be related to hw performance because with Sensei active the Cpu is around 5% and never goes over 60%. I tried with vmx with the same result.

I updated to 20.7.4, which includes the modified netmap, but I still have the bandwidth problem. If I enable Sensei my connection drops from 850Mb to about 420Mb. I'm using em driver on Vmware 6.7.

In the thread you mentioned seems they found a way to solve the problem. How can I configure sensei correctly on LAN nic after I patch the kernel?
#13
I'm trying to install Sensei on a new virtualized (vmware) installation of OPNsense, but during the setup the lan interface (vmx0) is not displayed in available interfaces. I don't have anything installed that can lock that interface.
Any help?

20.1 Legacy Series / Problem with USB WLAN nic
July 30, 2020, 11:49:06 AM
I used an USB WLAN nic without problems for months. Today I had to delete the assignments for this to do some cleanup after I subscribed for a new FTTH connection. After this the device is not visible anymore in Interfaces: Wireless: Devices. The device is  still correctly discovered by the system as run0 but it seems that the run0_wlan device is not created anymore. I tried to reboot several times without success. Any help?

After the latest update I cannot see sessions in reports blocks anymore so I cannot add exception for single destinations.
Any suggestion?
