hey @mb,

You mentioned you had some updates on potential Users/Groups due out this month...any word on that by chance?

@mb

I was wondering if there's a setting for rotating the logs that are in /usr/local/sensei/log/archive ?  or is that something that needs to be cleaned out manually?

Hi @mb,

Can you tell us if/when users/groups will be implemented within Sensei?

so essentially just add dns servers in via static ip mappings?  I have my kids devices mapped, but I was hoping to set it via range or group setting rather than manually per device.  I hope this could be a future feature.  It would be great for parental control features and being able to drill down for reports that are generated per user.

is it possible to have dnscrypt have a different set of DNS server(s) for an ip range?

just so i'm clear...based off that, are you saying that each device would have to setup again?  I'm suggesting more along the lines of, they're already on the network, should be able to alias the device(s) to a user.

Can a Users and Groups feature be implemented for device management or parental control features?  I would like to see a user creation section outside of Opnsense access to create accounts for my kids and assign their devices to them.  Then I could manage their access that way.  I would think it would also be for easier logging per user.  It's a feature that I really miss coming from just a regular Asus router

Hi,

Is it possible to have parental controls or per device/group filtering?

I had this happen to me as well.  Disabled until further notice

I'm having the same issue...I don't have Promiscuous mode selected and running 18.1.2_2.  I'm losing about 1/4 of my download speeds with it enabled.  CPU usage is next to nothing and my ram is using about 20%, so I don't see where the bottleneck would be hardware wise.  I used the instructions provided by the opnsense how-to docs.
