Proxy with blacklists
« on: June 04, 2015, 01:54:11 pm »
Hi,

I'm following the proxy services in OPNsense and a great feature would be squidGuard with blacklists. Is this planned in future release ?

Thanks for your project  :)

We were discussing this, basically asking ourselves if we really need squidGuard or if we will implement the lists using stock squid. We have this on our wish list for 16.1, but we don't have a reliable ETA on this as of now. I couldn't possibly promise more at this time, sorry.

I did not know about squid could use directly blacklists. I tried ipcop and it use squidguard for url filtering but it needs 2 nics (green and red)...

I'll continue to read git commit for news features added :)

External (file based) blacklists are on my todo list and work is in progress, altough I cannot promise it will make 15.7

Squidguard is old an unmaitained.

Squid supports files...
Code: [Select]
acl aclname acltype "file"

Thanks for your offer!
I will be testing the blacklisting next week to see why it is not working.. I expect there may be an issue with the examples I provided in the proxy setup..

I'll post an example early next week for you to test.

Cheers,
Jos
