OPNsense OS System Requirements

I'm sorry but its still unclear to me,

If I want to install OPNsense in VMware ESXi 5.5,
Do I need to install operating system to install OPNsense? Which is FreeBSD?

Or are those installers included with the all in one prebuilt OS?

OPNsense is a special FreeBSD distribution (firewall appliance) you can install using the VGA ISO image in your case.

The installer is included.
