What are firewall rules associated with

Hi there

Please excuse the question, in case it's silly. 

I'm doing some configuration re-organisation and I'm going to be swapping around some physical and VLAN network ports.
if I re-arrange networks so that what was on em0/igc3 is moved to igc2 and the descriptions stays the same, do the firewall rules, DHCP etc associated with the em0 move to igc2?

In my head I think it doesn't but AI says it does.

Firewall rules are associated with the symbolic names assigned to interfaces in Interfaces > Assignments. If you change the mapping of assignments (e.g. LAN) to physical interfaces (e.g. em0) the rules will follow the LAN identifier regardless of the physical interface.
