Would be good to get a statement from Zenarmor on support for the upcoming OPNsense 26.7 release. Can we upgrade when it's released or is the currently installed 2.6.1 not compatible yet?

If not compatible, do you have some indication when we'll see Zenarmor support for OPNsense 26.7?

I have been testing RC releases with ZA enabled.

ZA works on the 26.7 just fine, only the dashboard will not load properly.
Other than that every section in ZA works, netmap + engine + elastic works, and ZA is doing its job.

Saying that, its always a custom to wait for official support of ZA for the new OPN Major. This usually takes them up to a week.

So give them some time and wait for the announcement.

Just for your information:
I just installed the zenarmor repository ("os-sunnyvalley") on a fresh 26.7 installation.
The zenarmor repository seems to break the normal packet repositories. No update/refresh of the package list was possible.
I removed the zenarmor repository again.

Expected. It's for a different FreeBSD version.

Hi all,

Thank you for the reports. We have seen similar issues from other users after the latest update, and our team needs some more time to run additional update tests.

We are working on it and will share an update as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!"

@sy Maybe make it explicitly clear that this is supposed to happen at every OPNsense update that changes the FreeBSD version and people should postpone upgrading for a short while until your repositories have caught up?

I find the "We have seen similar issues" part a bit missing the point. Would you agree?

Kind regards,
Patrick
