DNSmasq - "DHCP Reply Delay" HA Sync overwrite incorrect?

Hello,

I'm moving the home's OPNsense DHCP from legacy ISC to DNSmasq. I've used HA for years to help ensure a reliable internet, and with only ~150 devices, DNSmasq is more appropriate than KEA.  DNSmasq works well with HA (though perhaps in the future the docs could better note the need to set VIPs via Boot Options).

One feature that really helps smaller HA setups with DNSmasq is the "DHCP Reply Delay" option. Setting a 5–10 second delay on the backup router works great, but the problem is the value keeps getting overwritten by the default HA sync.

Given this feature's usefulness (requirement?) for HA deployments, would it be possible to exclude this field from DNSmasq HA sync so it can be set as appropriate.  Or perhaps there's some better way to achieve this?

Kindest Regards,

Oh fantastic!  You really are a bunch of clever / forward thinking people!  Awesome :)

Apologies, it was here I was referring to the slightly out-of-date documentation (from when I originally set this up a few years back):  https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/how-tos/carp.html#optional-setup-dhcp-server

That DNSmasq DHCP documentation page(s) is brilliant.
