hi all,

when i click on WAN interface and for the drop down "IPv4 configuration type" i cant see DHCP anymore, all thats in the drop down box is

None
PPPoE

i need DHCP as sky my ISP use this and not PPPoE

thanks,
rob

Which device is assigned to this interface? A ppp by any chance?

Yes, these days you need to go to the assignments page and change the WAN device to get the other options.

sorry so atm my WAN is assigned to pppoe0 (igb2)

do i need to delete that and then

create a new WAN and assign it to igb2

No. If you don't need the pppoe0, just select igb2 from the drop-down and save the settings.

ahhh i see nice, so if i do this and go in wan again i will see DHCP option under "IPv4 configuration type"

It may seem counter intuitive to UX at first, but it a) reduces complexity of the interfaces settings page and b) better aligns with how the system is supposed to work underneath. It's also very seldom that someone changes from PPPoE to DHCP and now we don't have to make guesses about to which interface the user wants to switch to in that case. It may be the one where PPPoE sits, but it also may not.
