- disable host discovery

after upgrade 26.1 to 26.1.1

While the absolute amount is small, percentage-wise, it seems to be about a 50% increase. Usually, it hovers in the low 1000MB range.

Mine fluctuates.  I have hostwatch enabled and it's currently sitting at ~1.2GB, but I've seen it as low as 800-900MB and as high as 2+GB depending on when I check.

In either case it's still within the requirements range: https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/hardware.html

🤷

don't user ids/ips
low traffic

I haven't changed any settings, but looking at the monitoring graphs, RAM usage definitely went up after the 26.1.1 upgrade.

I have a very basic setup and my RAM usage has always been around 2 GB so I would say it's nothing to worry about ?!
Weird guy who likes everything Linux and *BSD on PC/Laptop/Tablet/Mobile and funny little ARM based boards :)

An Idle OPNsense, with only a shaper enabled and some tunables memory usage is something around 1G with opened GUI.
This is with no traffic and like 10 states opened. And hostwatch disabled.

I assume your OPN is in PROD?
It seems to me you are  in the spec.

Networking is love. You may hate it, but in the end, you always come back to it.
