[Small Feature Request] Move the Static DHCP Mappings section to own sub-menu

Dear OPNsense Developers,

I would like to hereby ask you for a small improvement which you will hopefully appreciate too :

Could you please move the Static DHCP Mappings section to it's own sub-menu somewhere in a future release ?

What I am basically asking is instead of this :
Services
- ISC DHCPv4
-- <Name of the DHCP Server Scope you are editing>

And then having to scroll down each time to the "DHCP Static Mappings for this interface." section when adding or editing any of them.

Let's make it look like this :
Services
- ISC DHCPv4
-- <Name of the DHCP Server Scope you are editing>
--- DHCP Static Mappings

So you can just stay on that sub-menu webpage while adding or editing any of them.

Currently I feel like I am scrolling too much even when logged in from my PC with 1920x1200 monitors and think that moving the "DHCP Static Mappings" section to a small additional sub-menu would improve things a lot :)

Many thanks in advance & Best wishes for 2026 to everyone!

ISC DHCP is deprecated and going to be removed from OPNsense. Better check if the menu structure of either DNSmasq or Kea is more to your liking. If you want to submit a feature request for one of those the best place is github, not the forum.

I have seen that being mentioned/announced in the past but so far there is no exact date when that's going to happen as far as I know ?!

And when I take a look at the forum from time to time I feel like not everyone thinks both Kea or DNSmasqd (in OPNsense ?) are "there yet" features and webGUI wise ?

If that's not the case then this topic can be seen as input for those too! :)

Hmm... OK...

Seen some similar topics here so I thought let's post it here first and see what happens...

ISC will be moved to a plugin in 26.1 (?) and as far as I understand the chances for any actual work, features, enhancements are close to zero.

Figured it out already, but thank you for being thoughtful :)

My two cents are that this is not going to happen, and you should switch to either DNSmasq or Kea either way.

If a feature is not exposed or you want to change something on the GUI of those two, open a GitHub ticket.

TBH : I totally forgot that ISC will be EOL eventually when I created this topic.

But it's weird that no one has ever requested this apparently...

When the OPNsense Team decides we all should/must switch eventually then I will switch too ofcourse! ;)

I will remember to do so in the future.
