Ok. Here's something we didn't go over. If you started with the desktop (free), you could then just pay the ~55w per day for a short period of time, say 6mo, then decide later to keep it for another 2.5yr or swap out in 6mo if the funds became available.

No matter the choice, money out of your wallet, not in. ;)
