Hello all,

I upgraded to 25.1.10 last night and afterwards my CPUs are being pegged at 100%. My OPNsense firewall is virtualized under Proxmox, but was running just fine prior to 25.1.10. Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks,
Steve

I'm not running OPNsense in Proxmox VM, but am running several OPNsense 25.1.10 deployments in ESXi 6.7 update3 U2 VM's, and all instances are behaving themselves when it comes to CPU utilization.

Perhaps you should navigate to System: Diagnostics: Activity to get an idea which process(s) may be hogging CPU...

OPNsense 25.1.10-amd64 running on ESXi 6.7 U2 VM, 4Gbytes RAM, 2 x vCPU
Basic non-complex install with frr, IDS and sftp-backup plugins

I have two instances running in the same configuration and they do not show this. With the 25.1.9_2 -> 25.1.10 update, there was no kernel change, just application software, so there should be no problem. You could look at the process list with "top" to see which processes peg the CPU.

What can happen sometimes is that Crowdsec cannot be restarted properly during an update. Is the load still there after a reboot?

Well well well....its the Zabbix proxy that is wiping out my CPUs. Once I stop it then it goes back to normal. Hmmm! Anyone else running Zabbix proxy and 25.1.10?
