Router stopped and now will not restart?

Randomly, 'out of the blue', my opnsense router stopped working and now it keeps restarting itself it seems like it is going through a recovery process, it gets to the login prompt, then after around 30 seconds or so I see a large volume of text scrolling up the screen and it restarts again however this cycle repeats again and again?

Should I wipe the device and reinstall, and if so, if I put on a clean install of version 25 i.e. upgrade from v24, can I restore my settings into v25 to save me the time needed to reconfigure everything from scratch?

Use e.g. a mobile phone to take a movie if that wall of text, then post stills here.

So we might have a chance to spot what is going on.

If it's not the disk/file system that's causing the crash it's a network device or cable. Try unplugging those temporarily one by one to see if that helps.
