I just had a Zenarmor ad **in the admin console**.

I had the Zenarmor section of the OPNsense admin console open and I was served a Zenarmor ad (For, like, OSX features? I don't run OSX and I don't care.). Is this normal? I find it rather distasteful.

Learning from Ubiquiti Networks?

I would be ironic if it were from a site that you can  set to blocked.

Nothing new.
They do this actually for a long time. When they have a new feature or implementation around ZA. You will see this even in OPNsense ZA Dashboard panel.

Hi all,

Just to clarify what you saw in the Zenarmor section of the OPNsense interface is not meant for an "ad", but rather serves as a notification about a major new feature.

We understand the importance of keeping the interface clean and relevant, which is why these notifications are used with care and reserved for cases where we believe they'll provide major value to our beloved users.

This was actually the first notification we've published this year. In the past, we've shared links to YouTube videos that explain best practices and real-world use cases, content aimed at helping users get more out of their Zenarmor deployments.
In this particular case, the announcement was related to the newly released macOS agent, which is an important development for network admins who are dealing with distributed workforces.

This was a long-standing, highly requested feature, thus the announcement.

Rest assured that we'll continue to be mindful of how we communicate updates and will always aim to prioritize usefulness over promotion.

Thanks
