Do not get me wrong, I do not believe in IDS anyway and do not use it. Most of the time, when I tried to use anything like it, I found myself in having to configure it in very much detail.

That is, unless I just enabled all potential rules, accepting to have way too many false positives and thereby causing outages. Not a good alternative, either.
