high memory usage

device: N5105 with 4ports i226
opnsense 24.7.3_1 free
zenarmor    1.17.6 free
only 1 laptop attached

Sometimes but not so often my device reboots but still i dont know how to find out on logs the reason as to why it did reboot. Now i just found out that the device memory shoots up to 46% of the 8GB installed.

Checking the pie graph on the TOP APPS, i could see that 46% is consumed by the CLOUD SERVICES.

Any hint on this issue given that i only have 1 laptop connected to the LAN.

Can you share the logs and configuration by following the instructions in the link below so that we can make a detailed review?

i built a new system wit i3, 9100 and intel i226 NICs

Memory usage is 39 to 40%

More RAM is always a good choice here. When I had 8gb of ram, I would see 6-7 in use. I put 16GB in my test and production systems and now use somewhere between 35 and 50% of the ram. Yes, wasting half, but it's so cheap these days that it doesn't really amount to much overhead in cost. Especially on older stuff that uses DDr3 or even DDR4.

I'm guessing the more "stuff" Zenarmor loads into RAM, the faster it scans, and this should relate to higher throughput.
